Serena Sun serves up dreamy Synth-Pop in latest Single ‘What you Wanted’

Vancouver based Artist Serena Sun released “What You Wanted,” on April 23rd a vivacious new Synth Pop Single written about coming to terms with the end of a relationship. “What You Wanted” is upbeat and dreamy, drawing influence from songs by The 1975 and CHVRCHES. The track’s ambient soundscapes, bright synth lines combined with punchy 80’s style beat, pumping bass line and airy vocals makes for a delightful listen.

“What You Wanted” was written to share the raw emotions that accompany break-up’s and heartache. Inspired by a heart-to-heart in Serena’s bedroom studio with her guitarist and partner, Kevin Logan. As they reflected on past relationsionship’s and questioned how things would be now had past relationships ended differently. The raw emotion is all summed up perfectly in the line, “text me while you’re with her. Kept me in case you got hurt,”.

It’s a really easy listen and a track you can chill to, cry to or dance to and I for one can’t wait to hear more from this exciting new artist.
