Craig Birrell aka Birrell Or Biscuit, spent his formative years in multiple projects, experiencing a range of genres in groups such as the Scarletinas and psychedelic rock outfit The Valkarys. After a numerous amount of exceptional achievements, he has settled on rock and roll track ‘Top Of The Pops‘.
Certainly as ambitious as his own intentions, a breath of personality breaks through the looping instrumental creating some encouraging moments. The track features happy-go-lucky guitars that accompany an interesting busking style of vocal. In no way does this discredit it’s warm production, allowing a catchy and humorous repetition of the tracks title to ring out following a diary narrative of Biscuit’s needs and desires. Loose and light, the vibe of the record is playful and soft leaving a sweet aftertaste.
Dangling that ball of string right in front of my desperate nostalgia cravings, ‘Top Of The Pops’ is a massive throwback to those golden eras of a beautiful sound and show. Get your fix by listening below!
