A GOOD POP DANCE SONG: RYAN LOVE WITH “LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE”

Ryan Love is an American singer and songwriter who today presents his new single, entitled “Look What You’ve Done”. For the writing and production of the latter track, Ryan Love was inspired by his deep love for God, and the enormous effect he had on his life. The single is a re-released ballad version of his first song of the same name. Originally an uptempo dance track, the new one is slower and has jazz and bluesy sound. While the first one makes you want to move, dance and sing, the version just released will make you reflect on the deep love… The lyrics speak of the changes that can be put in place when you are madly in love with someone and the consequences that these changes have on your life: a breath of optimism will surprise you and make you “escape” from all the negativity that is happening in our world today. We advise you to listen to it and discover this artist!

YMX: Can you tell us about yourself as an artist? Where are you now, how you started, and what are your goals.

RYAN LOVE: My musical roots definitely run deep. My love for music began in church and then later progressed into musical theater with a profound love for the Motown era. As adulthood approached, I discovered my passionate love for pop, dance, R&B music. As a self proclaimed “pop junkie”, I must say that I love to lend my soulful R&B vocals to pop/R&B instrumentals.

YMX: Some of our readers might not be familiar with you yet, how would you describe your sound?

RYAN LOVE: My sound is definitely a Soul/R&B and Pop vibe. I love uptempo dance tracks, but also do occasionally embrace soulful and heartwarming ballads.

YMX: Who have been your biggest influences so far?

RYAN LOVE: When I discovered Donny Hathaway at around the age of 14, my life was forever changed. He would definitely be my main lifelong vocal influence.

YMX: You just released LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE. Could you tell us how the project came about?

RYAN LOVE: My latest song “Look What You’ve Done” – Acoustic is actually a re-released ballad version of my first song of the same name. It originally was an uptempo dance track, but the new release is quite slower with a jazz and bluesy feel.

YMX: 2020 has been a hard year for everybody, especially for musicians such as yourselves with the absence of performing live. How have you been coping this year?

RYAN LOVE: Although 2020 has been a challenge, I’ve been blessed to have been able to be creative through the hardship of it all. My last released song “Dance Till the End” was, in fact, based on the 2020 quarantine lifestyle.

YMX: What does playing live represent for you? a way to make yourself known or a way to express yourself?

RYAN LOVE: Performing live is what entertaining is really all about for me. I suppose I can’t really call myself a reformer if I’m not actually performing. I look forward to getting back on stage. 🙂

YMX: Finally, what are your plans for the future?

RYAN LOVE: I plan to move forward consistently creating, and releasing new music. I hope to create dance videos for my future songs as I would love to showcase that aspect of my performance as well.
