It’s always a pleasure to come across new bands like SMALL PLANETS that can write such a beautiful track like this one. “BREATHE” is the latest release from the LA-based quintet and it’s a song that many of us could easily relate with. A song perfectly balanced between post-punk and dream-pop about depression, a mix that I always found listening to timeless bands such as New Order, Joy Division or The Cure. As the band states, “’Breathe” is written from an outsider’s perspective. It’s about someone who sees and appreciates the beauty from within that person.”

The listener will be brought into their world with this track and the B side “Summer”, a passionate and strong instrumental post-rock track that has nothing to envy to bands like Explosions In The Sky and This Will Destroy You.
We’re not surprised that the 5 musicians ( Jeff, Josh, Phil, Jessica and Ryan) have been on the rise in the LA music scene for the past five years and that they have played legendary music venues such as The Troubadour and House of Blues selling out crowds. This is a band with something to say and they know how to do it.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them, so let’s jump into their journey and enjoy this dark pop hit!
