Considering Indie Pop band Bad Money formed at the beginning of lockdown last year they have accomplished a hell of a lot; including the release of a string of excellent Singles and their one and only gig so far due to the pandemic, which happened to be a BBC Live Session! The foursome made up of Ben Williams on Lead Vocals and guitar, Kieran Smith on piano and guitar, Jacob Jenkins on Bass and vocals, Tommy Francis – Drums and vocals have just released a beyond feel good new single, titled ‘Loud’.
They cite influences including Haim, Maroon 5, The 1975, Charlie Puth, Pale Waves, The Band Camino, Hotel Apache and Fickle Friends. The band have certainly drawn from the above influences and refined a fun, radio friendly easy listening sound with hooky melodies, funky piano lines, fierce guitar solos and angelic harmonies for days.
I have no doubt they would be an excellent band to watch live and given how far they have come in their first year- the future certainly looks bright for Bad Money!
