#ARTISTPROMOTION | THE SHELTER’S ROADS OF MÉXICO

The Shelter is a rock-n-roll duo based in Mexico City. The band’s sound is defined by Javier’s distorted bass and Elias’ intense vocals. They previously worked Arturo Vega (artistic director for the Ramones) and performed in venues like Imperial, Caradura, Foro Galera and Bar Oriente (CDMX) and Bowery Electric, Hecho en DUMBO and Bar 9 (NYC). Their influences can go from bands such as Led Zeppelin, Ramones, T – Rex, Nine Inch Nails, Queen Of The Stone Age or Iron Maiden.

The first single, Black Philip, was released on April 24, 2020, and we have reached over 50,000 streams on Spotify. The second single, Misconceptions, was launched on June 5, 2020, and it has had an excellent reception as well. The duo’s plan is to release a new single every month until December 2020, and right after the lockdown is over, to start touring.

“We are one of the very few “stoner” rock bands in Mexico. We worked with the manager and artistic director for the Ramones. And this song talks about the rudeness of lockdown.”
