Leeds based four-piece Indie Pop band Ava In The Dark combine angelic vocal melodies, experimental guitar and driving bass and drums with the shimmery icy synths of the past. Today marks the release of the bands fifth single entitled ‘Delete Us Forever‘ which is a nostalgic sounding synth-pop track flawlessly embellished by lead singer Kiera’s hauntingly beautiful and ethereal vocals. The track successfully takes inspiration from the eighties while also keeping things modern and fresh with a distinctive UK indie sound similar to that of Pale Waves and Wolf Alice, ensuring the listeners attention is more than kept.
‘Delete Us Forever‘ has already impressively gained over three radio plays (BBC Music Introducing & BBC Radio Wales) pre-release. The track was part of a lockdown project curated by two-time Grammy Award-winning mix engineer Eduardo De La Paz. The project will be printed to vinyl along with a few other bands across the UK with profits split between bands to make up for lost gigs during the lockdown. Championed by BBC Introducing West Yorkshire and BBC Radio Wales, Ava In The Dark have already amassed an impressive number on streams on Spotify and show bucketloads of promise, originality and passion.
